Halloween is a special time when the Spaceman goes on a nice long "vacation" before the winter holidays and Mr. DR3AD comes out to dance with all the ghosts and ghouls

A wicked song that contains all the haunts and chills along with vicious samples ripped from a noisy friend that stalks the V01D.

This took several iterations before landing on where it is. Not entirely sure what the story would be, as it's my most experimental track to date.

The rite of passage—that to live and die.

Also, it's a mix of E Minor Natural & E Minor Harmonic, as the scale was actually pulled from a famously haunting track—"Lavendar Town", from Pokemon.

It all began with an OBSESSION

An aspiring Spaceman captivated by a Hypertronik sound, spending years trying to form the perfect remix.

That was when he found the one wish willow, and the Spaceman foolishly snapped the stick, making his wish, and wanting nothing more than to achieve that sinister track. That was until he heard the crack of the ground beneath him and a speed demon from down unda would rise up to claim his soul.

Nothing was safe now, not until the final heartbeat...

This was my Halloween song for 2025 that I haven't gotten around to spreading.

As the name implies this is a very dance centric song with a vogue aesthetic. I definitely could have made it more 'spooky' but I honestly just had a lot of fun making it this way.

This is the unmastered version, I haven't gotten around to touching it up just yet but I will be uploading a much higher quality and impressive version of it soon!

A mysterious creature lurks aboard this ship, cursing the crew one by one with the dance of the dead. I can start to hear it myself, that song, that song that they play before you start to move your feet and simply cannot stop until your last breath. I'm sorry my love, but I must stop this ship and this demon of dance before more suffer the same fate. In my final hour may you remember that I was brave and as funky as a monkey...

Entry for the Halloween, Chiptune, Blast from the Past Jam (2026)

Hey all!

Been a while! I find in my current days that I suffer with a lot of fatigue, depression and anxieties (due to a difficult home life) that I haven't really had the energy to do much creatively for quite a lengthy amount of time. Its took a huge impact onto my writing, song making, art and animation, but when I heard this months jam included chiptune, I just couldn't say no to this one.

If its one thing i love, its retro video games, and as someone who has amassed quite the collection over the years, my biggest love would be for the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis. And so, over many years, I've experimented and practiced to pastiche its style and sound, hopefully getting close to that iconic era. I also was a huge Sonic The Hedgehog fan growing up (the 90s!) and this also somewhat influences my style and naming convention.

This track is one of those that wrote itself, and I try to imagine an environment that would suite the track, naming it as such. In this instance, I imagined a kind of crystal-like palace with a autumnal sunset in the background. But what do you envision?

An original chiptune kind of music for Littlesong.place's Halloween / Chiptune jam. Just something spooky and musical with a couple of MM's underrated synth instruments in it.

Hey y'all. Got a thing for "Chiptune", and arguably "Blast From the Past", given the instruments used to produce this track. The Sega Megadrive / Genesis drums have a really cool sound, and I used quite a few FM chip sounds to reel in that nostalgic feel. I've had decent direction this time, since I wanted to go for an optimistic, adventurous feel you'd typically hear in classic platformers like the OG Sonic or Rocket Knight games. I think I got the feel of traversing the fields, maybe with a gorgeous parallax in the background, hence the title.

No spoopy from me, since I did it last year, and only just did another with the "Anime Themix" jam. Just good vibes.

Second Entry for the Halloween, Chiptune, Blast from the Past Jam (2026)

Hello!

Couldn't resist with multiple entries for this jam, and this time I focused on both Halloween and Chiptune. This time, the track was originally an unfinished track I had started some time back, as a concept for a boss encounter, but upon browsing my unfinished works, I felt that the tone of this would defiantly fit the title! So I repurposed the track, finishing it off with all new compositions and I'm rather happy with how it turned out.

Tried to do all 3 themes by doing a chiptune-like remix of my loop for All Hallows' Dreams from way back.

Orion helped me and made it a proper banger. Happy Halloween :>

Hey, this is for the "Halloween" Jam!!

This is a combination of two separate tracks I’ve composed for a Halloween Game I’m developing!

If you possibly could, I do recommend that you check out the game (it’s on dreams) the title of the game is “MOM, A GHOST!”. The release date is presumably the 30th of October!
