Second Entry for the Halloween, Chiptune, Blast from the Past Jam (2026)
Hello!
Couldn't resist with multiple entries for this jam, and this time I focused on both Halloween and Chiptune. This time, the track was originally an unfinished track I had started some time back, as a concept for a boss encounter, but upon browsing my unfinished works, I felt that the tone of this would defiantly fit the title! So I repurposed the track, finishing it off with all new compositions and I'm rather happy with how it turned out.

Hey all!
Been a while! I find in my current days that I suffer with a lot of fatigue, depression and anxieties (due to a difficult home life) that I haven't really had the energy to do much creatively for quite a lengthy amount of time. Its took a huge impact onto my writing, song making, art and animation, but when I heard this months jam included chiptune, I just couldn't say no to this one.
If its one thing i love, its retro video games, and as someone who has amassed quite the collection over the years, my biggest love would be for the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis. And so, over many years, I've experimented and practiced to pastiche its style and sound, hopefully getting close to that iconic era. I also was a huge Sonic The Hedgehog fan growing up (the 90s!) and this also somewhat influences my style and naming convention.
This track is one of those that wrote itself, and I try to imagine an environment that would suite the track, naming it as such. In this instance, I imagined a kind of crystal-like palace with a autumnal sunset in the background. But what do you envision?
